We’re committed to caring for our environment
Caring for our guests, our environment, and our community is central to everything we do at Omarama TOP 10 Holiday Park. We have a range of initiatives which reduce our impact on the place we call home. We’re also part of the New Zealand Tourism Sustainability Commitment, a promise to make choices that benefit the long-term sustainably of New Zealand.
Our sustainability efforts
Solar power
We’ve installed 100 solar panels across the park, helping us harness Omarama’s sunshine to power more of our daily operations.
Recycling
Last year alone, we saved around 300 240L rubbish bins’ worth of recycling from landfill, proof that small, steady changes really do add up.
Composting
Food scraps from our communal kitchen go straight into the compost bins, keeping waste out of landfill and helping feed our gardens instead.
LED lighting
Every light in the park runs on energy-efficient LED bulbs. This simple switch means that we're using less power and replacing bulbs less often.
Electric golf carts
You’ll spot us getting around in electric golf carts, which aren't just fun to drive, but are also a quieter, efficient way to do the daily rounds.
Timed showers
Our timed showers help save water (and give the planet a little breather too). Just another small step toward a greener NZ.
